Taysan

The Tinindag Festival is an annual event in Taysan, Batangas, held in celebration of the town’s founding anniversary and its distinctive local industry — the manufacture of bamboo barbecue sticks (known locally as “tindagan”). The festival was launched on the occasion of Taysan’s 100th founding anniversary, transforming a humble cottage-industry into a symbol of community pride and local identity. The making of bamboo sticks is a long-standing activity in Taysan’s barangays, combining family tradition, livelihood, and cultural heritage.
